Beef steak with bearnaise, todays food
Today’s dinner was one of the keto diet foods that I prefer to cook and also my favorite. I do this beef steak with bearnaise sauce at least one or two times per week since it is so easy and tastes so good. Not to mention how good it is for my keto diet and to loose weight.
I usually buy one or two beef steaks at the local supermarket. It usually costs me something like 35-45 RMB ($6-7). These steaks I either cut up into small pieces or fry them just how they are. Today I decided to fry them as they are. It takes roughly 3-4 minutes to fry them until they are just right. I either use butter or olive oil to fry my meat and sometimes I even use both. The leftovers in the pan I usually pour over the finished meat. There is no need to waste any fat 🙂
The spices I prefer to use is a chilli powder that I have bought from the Hunan province in China. It is really spicy and the taste is really good. Together with this I usually add some black pepper and some herbal salt to add some additional flavor.
Together with the fried beef I like to have some Bearnaise sauce. This together with green pepper sauce is my absolute favorite and since I can get already finished sauce in small packages it is also really quick to make. Takes around one minute to prepare it. To give it some additional fat I usually add a small piece of butter inside the sauce while heating it up. The end result both looks and tastes really great.It is just a perfect beef steak with bearnaise sauce that also is perfect on a keto diet. No need for anything else but if you would like some lettuce or other vegetables they are good as a help o take up the last sauce from the plate.
