Time for another update on what I am eating on my keto diet. Today it is Monday again so time to go back to work again after another great weekend from a keto diet view. I am now below 95 kilos which is a new personal best and I do not think I have been this low for over 15 years. The plan to go below 90 kilos before September looks like a very reachable target since I now only need to loose 5 kilos in the 2 months that are left.
I have been feeling great lately and the gym results this last week has been really great. I have set several new personal best weight lifting records and I also do not feel tired after the heavy lifting. This even though that I usually have not eating anything before I go to the gym. There is still plenty of energy left in the body from the food I ate the day before.
For today I started out the day with having an egg and some coffee for breakfast. I had some plans to go to the gym but since I was quite busy at work I did not really have time to go there. I have also been at the gym both on Saturday and Sunday so I decided to take a break today and go tomorrow instead.
For lunch today we went to a burger restaurant that has really great burgers that they only charge 50 RMB for on Mondays. To add a little more food since I do not eat any fries or the burger bun I added on an extra beef patty. This dish is probably quite low on fat but I am quite fine with having some days where I do not get enough fat. As long as I am low on carbs and I do not get hungry during they day I think it is quite okay. Might not be exactly according to a keto diet but it works for me.
After work I took a walk home which takes around 25 minutes and did it with a Starbucks coffee in my hand. Before I started with the keto diet I usually had a latte but I do not miss those at all, an espresso or Americano is perfect for me now. It is quite hot outside so I sweat a lot when taking these walks home.
After arriving home I did my meat sauce that I make a little now and then. It is very easy to make and tastes great. I simply chop up some garlic and onion and fry it together with some minced beef.
I add plenty of olive oil and a little butter when frying it together. After all the minced meat is done I add one the chili spices and also one can of chopped tomatoes and let I boil for around 20 minutes. Simple to make and takes very little effort. Also since my wife is not on the keto diet she makes some spaghetti to have with the meat sauce while I eat it just as it is.
