Keto Coffee – 3 recipes to boost your keto diet
Keto coffee is a really good way to start of your day or to increase your intake of fat. It is extremely easy to make and also only takes a few seconds to put together. Below I have put together 3 different keto coffee recipes for you to enjoy.
Keto Coffee with Butter
I have two main ways that I make the keto coffee with butter. The first alternative is that you simply put the butter directly into your freshly brewed coffee and let it melt in the coffee. This will of course take down the temperature of the coffee and make it almost cold. I prefer my coffee to be hot so I usually melt the butter in the microwave first and then pour it into the hot coffee.
When you choose butter I would highly recommend you to go with butter that is unsalted. Using salted butter will work, but the taste will be impacted. As usual the better quality of the butter (grass-fed is preferred) you use the better taste of the keto coffee.

Keto Coffee with Egg Yolks
Using egg yolks in your coffee is something that does not sound like it would mix very well but you might be surprised if you dare to try it. The taste is quite okay and considering the protein and fat that egg contains it becomes a quite healthy mix. Personally I already get enough protein in my other food and the butter and cream coffee variants taste better according to me so I do not do keto coffee with egg yolks that often.
Always make sure you mix the egg yolks well before you put them in the coffee. You also need to mix it well after you have put them in the coffee. A mixer is a good way to ensure they are properly mixed.

Keto Coffee with Cream
When making keto coffee with cream you have several different alternatives. The easiest one is to just take your cream and pour it into the freshly brewed coffee. Another alternative is to use whipping cream and add that into your coffee. You could drink it either cold or hot depending on your preferences (cold coffee with whipping cream is really nice on a hot summer day).
The keto coffee with cream contains around 93% of fat and only 4% of carbs which make it really nice for a keto diet. However some people have problems with dairy products such as cream and using cream in these amounts every morning could cause stomach problems if you are lactose intolerant.

The best Keto Coffee
So which one should you choose? Well there is no keto coffee recipe that is the best for everyone. We all have our own taste preferences and also different goals with our keto diet. The keto coffee with butter is the one of the three keto coffee recipes that has the highest fat percentage and also the lowest amount of carbohydrates.
In taste I personally think the keto coffee recipe with cream tastes a little better but this one comes as a close second. I have however heard many people that think the keto coffee with butter has the best taste. For the Keto coffee with egg yolks it is lower in the fat percentage than the two other alternatives but eggs contain many minerals and vitamins that are good for you and the egg yolks also contain protein.
In the end I recommend you to experiment a little and try to find out which keto coffee recipe that you prefer. It might be one of the above alternatives, but it could also be a mix between two or all three of the recipes.
You could also experiment with normal brewed coffee or by using espresso coffee and also to add more or less of the cream, egg yolks or the butter. You could even experiment by adding some additions to enhance the taste. Some examples would be Cinnamon, Vanilla or Turmeric but there are many other additions that you could experiment with.
