The fat bomb smoothie is very good for you from a metabolic standpoint. It directly satiates the hunger and refuels your body. You will have energy for a very long time and your body will also recover very quickly from e.g. a hard gym training workout.
Fat bomb smoothies can be made in many different ways but the recipe I recommend is very simple and also tastes very good.
Keto fat bomb smoothie ingredients
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp unrefined coconut oil
- 1/3 cup strawberries
- a pinch of salt
You can skip the salt if you feel you have a high enough salt intake already or you do not like the taste of it. I add some salt since I mainly use the keto diet fat bomb smoothie after I have been to the gym so I need to add some salt since I have been sweating a lot during the training.
I also recommend you to try to mix in some different berries into your keto diet fat bomb smoothie. It will bring up the amount of carbohydrates but if you are not so strict with your keto diet this might be okay anyway. The fat bomb smoothie will also taste better with some berries in it and you can vary the taste with different types of berries.
Another alternative is to buy some protein whey powder that has taste and mix it into your fat bomb smoothie. There are many different tastes available in protein whey powder such as blueberry, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Choose one according to your liking.
Additional keto diet fat bomb smoothie recipe
This fat bomb smoothie recipe contains water and berries and has a little easier taste for most people. However remember that the high amount of berries makes it not fully keto diet friendly and it has a rather high amount of carbohydrates.
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 raw egg yolks
- 1 scoop whey protein
- 1 cup frozen berries
This recipe is better for someone on a keto diet. You can do it with or without the ice depending on if you want it cold or not.
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup coconut milk
- Juice from lime or lemon
- 5 tbsp avocado
- 3 egg yolks
- ¼ cup ice
Try out some different combinations with ingredients that you enjoy. If you want to increase the fat percentage you can reduce berries and add more coconut milk or even coconut oil. Be careful with the coconut oil though since it is quite heavy.
