If you are looking for good tips about how to make your ketogenic ice cream this might be the right place to look. I am sitting at home now after a day of 40 degrees Celsius outside. It is really hot right now and something that is really good when it is this hot outside is some ice cream. However most ice creams available in the stores are not really ketogenic ice creams. This means that usually the amount of carbohydrates in an ice cream is quite high.
However there are some simple ice cream recipes that you could try out to make your own ketogenic ice cream. I have put together some difference recipes below for you to try out.
Protein powder ketogenic ice cream
The first recipe is for you guys and girls that are eating a protein supplement. Most people who go to the gym regularly already have some protein powder at home but if you do not have it you could also buy some to make this simple protein powder ice cream.
1 Scoop Whey Protein
3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Mix them both together until it get thick. Put in the freezer for around 60 minutes or until it is completely frozen. For this simple ice cream it takes around 2 minuites to make it and in total you will get around 17 grams of fat, 24g of protein and only 1 gram of carbohydrates. To give some additional taste to the ketogenic ice cream I recommend to either use blueberry flavored protein powder or chocolate flavored protein powder.
Fruit ketogenic ice cream
Another simple and good ice cream you can make is to mix some heavy whipping cream together with some fruits such as unsweetened blueberries or strawberries. You could also of course use other fruits that are low on carbohydrates to make this ice cream. Mix everything in a mixer until all the fruit and whipped cream has mixed together completely. Place in the freezer for around 60 minutes until it is frozen.
Blueberry ketogenic ice cream
You could also try my recipe for blueberry ice cream that I posted a couple of weeks ago. This recipe is made from Creme fraiche, heavy whipping cream, blueberries, egg yolk and vanilla powder. This ketogenic ice cream contains 91% fat and only 6 percentage of carbohydrates and is extremely good also. Continue here for the full keto ice cream recipe.
